Previously, I tried applying granular to the rainstick sound using the synthesizer “Alchemy” include in Logic Pro.
I was able to process it into a relatively good sound, so I want to write it while remembering how to do it.
First, as a preliminary step, load the rainstick sound into “source A” under “Alchemy”.
You need to drop the sound file into Alchemy.
By the way, instructions on how to use “granular element control” are posted on Apple’s official page.

This time, source B,C,D not use, so turn OFF.
The sound material I will use is this (I hope you will try it out using this sound file as well).

The parameters were as shown in the image below.
And, this is the resulting sound.
The sound reminded me of being under the sea.
Next, try applying granular using a sound material with a slightly higher volume.

The parameters were as shown in the image below.
It sounded like noise.
I tried adding rhythm to this sound.
Changed parameters of “Position”, and set “Random 16 Step 01” under “LFO”.
By the way, The method to make the orange modulation wheel appear is described in the URL below.

In this way, rhythmic material like this will be created.
Rather than rhythm material, it would be more accurate to call it a special effect.
