I tried processing the sound of a singing bowl using Additive” under Alchemy.
For instructions on how to use “Additive”, refer to this URL.

Using the sound material is this.

*Instruments with lower pitch contain a lot of overtones, so it is easier to use Additive Mode for those instruments.
But since the only singing bowl I own is one with this pitch, I use it.
First, select “Initialize Preset” from”File” to reset to default.
Next, select “Import Audio” from “source select field”.
Finally, click the “Additive” button at the bottom left of the loading browser, and drop the audio file at the right side of the Window.
With the default value, it sounded like this.
I wanted a metallic and mysterious sound, so change “Sine” to “Complex” and select “Notch Ringer”.
And I then adjusted the values a little to make it sound like this.
It sound like something I’d hear in a science fiction movie.
The sound is low, so please turn up the volume.
Now, let’s add one sound to this to make it a more concrete sound.
Import the same sound material to another source in “Sampler”.
The value should be like this.
I tried playing back the melody by combining it with the sound I created earlier.
I tried playing back the melody by combining it with the sound I created earlier.
The atmosphere changes when the bass is low.
In Additive Mode, we can also edit overtones, which are detailed on this URL.

It seemed like I could do a lot of editing with this audio material,
so I thought I’d give it another try.
