Regarding the end of Finale service

There was some very sad news today.
This is an announcement that the development of Finale has ended.
It is scheduled to end in August 2025.

I’ve been using Finale for about 12 years, and I always use it when composing.
Until I move to a new application, I’ll be using Finale,
and I’m very grateful to Finale for helping me create music so much and creating such a great experience.
Thank you very much.

Now, regarding the new method of engraving scores, I am planning to mainly use Dorico Pro from now on.
However, since I have almost never used any music notation software other than Finale, I will be studying Dorico for a while.
I’m also thinking of learning how to use Sibelius at the same time,
as I think there will be some areas where Dorico alone won’t be enough.

As someone who makes a living as a music score engraver and composer,
it would be a huge loss if the software I mainly use ends up discontinuing its service,
but it’s also bad that I can only use one application, so I’m using Dorico and Sibelius.
I will try my best to be able to use both.
